'I was fortunate enough to work with Redd in 1990 for a few months in Kentucky. He was a very special guest musician in a production of Big River. I couldn't believe how very kind and supportive he was of my interest in Country music, as well as learning the guitar, which by the way he gave me a copy of his instruction book and video that was very helpful, and he even went as far as sending a song that I wrote to some very prominent folks in the recording biz.
I could listen to his stories of Patsy Cline and all the rest for days. He is a true legend not only for his musical and songwriting, but also and just as importantly, as a kind and goodhearted man.' (Stuart May)
