'I got to hang out with Pee Wee on a number of occasions during my years with The International Musician (1968-1975) and with Performance Magazine (1973-1994), but there was one delightful afternoon when Redd pinch hit for Pee Wee at a national convention of accordion educators.
Somebody had written an arrangement of 'Tennessee Waltz' for forty-two kazillian accordions, don't remember the exact number, but they literally filled the plaza between the Doubletree Hotel and the bank building next door. Maybe three press people showed up and I'm sure I'm the only one who stayed all afternoon. Redd and I had a good time!' (Bill Littleton (The Bridge Works)/Nashville, TN)
