Even More Memories

Nolan Bruce Allen

"I visited Red's site and signed your guest book....and I was so impressed with the site that I have forwarded link information to my web tech.....by mid-week Red's link should be at the top of my music link page. No, I never had the good fortune to meet in person either Red or Pee Wee, although they've always been right up there on my "most admired" list. As a matter of fact, I'm doing now a 3-CD, 67 song tribute/salute to Bob Wills and the western swing era....Bob Wills once cut Slowpoke! And "Slowpoke" will be on volume II when it's released later this year. And I've included Tenessee Waltz, Slowpoke, Bonapartes Retreat and other songs on many of my shows for many years.....what entertainer hasn't?  Though I never met him I loved Red, his writing and his fine guitar playing. Thanks for contacting me. Sincerely, Nolan Bruce Allen"

"While it wasn't identified as his 'signature' song, Ernie was naturally associated for many years with 'Tennessee Waltz'. It was a lifelong favorite of his, and for many years, the 'cue' number for his live performances. In fact (and I'm not sure if you've had the opportunity to listen...) we include a clip of Ernie performing the song from his 1961 live LP, "Come To The Fair". Just click on this link to jump to Ernie's Bio page...the track loads with the page. Redd's site is beautifully designed -- congrats to all for giving the world an official site for a genuine legend." www.ernieford.com

"
I grew up with country music all around me. I'm finding more and more fans are wanting to get back to the roots of country music. It was people like Redd that put us one the road to those great sounds we hear in country music today. When those cds are ready you can count on mailing one my way. Thanks for building a site for him ! I'll pass the word around so other country music lovers can stop in and enjoy themselves too. Take Care, Tom"

"A very nice thing your doing for a very nice man, who gave so much to
country music and his fans. I had the pleasure to work with him and Mr.King
at The Jimmie Rogers Fest, in Mississippi. I sang happy birthday to Redd
with there band it was a honor. He will be missed but his music will live
forever. God Bless"

"Hi Sharon, thanks for stoping by. It good to see a tribute site like this for a deserving country artist like Redd. So many of the pioneers are so easily forgoten by todays industry giants. They seem to forget just where it all really came from."
